Each fragrance was chosen not simply for how it smells, but for the place, feeling, and memories it represents. The result is a collection of deeply nourishing tallow balms created for hardworking hands and skin exposed to the everyday demands of life outdoors.
Why Tallow?
Every Farm & Field Balm begins with tallow rendered from the leaf fat of our own 100% grass-fed and grass-finished cattle.
Tallow has a fatty-acid profile that is naturally compatible with the oils found in human skin. Its rich, emollient texture helps soften dry, rough skin, replenish moisture, and support the skin’s natural protective barrier.
Unlike lotions made primarily with water, Farm & Field Balm is a concentrated, water-free formula. A small amount melts into the skin, providing lasting moisture without unnecessary fillers.
Tallow is also naturally rich in skin-conditioning fatty acids and fat-soluble nutrients. It gives Farm & Field Balm the deeply nourishing quality that makes it especially useful for hands, elbows, feet, and skin exposed to wind, weather, frequent washing, and outdoor work.
Thoughtfully Chosen Organic Ingredients
We pair our farm-raised tallow with carefully selected organic ingredients, each chosen for the role it plays in the finished balm.
Organic Jojoba Oil
Jojoba is technically a liquid wax with a composition similar to the skin’s natural sebum. It helps soften and condition the skin while improving the balm’s glide and absorption. It leaves skin feeling smooth and nourished without an excessively greasy finish.
Organic Meadowfoam Seed Oil
Meadowfoam seed oil helps seal in moisture and gives the balm a silky, luxurious texture. It is naturally stable and helps preserve the freshness and quality of the other oils in the formula.
Organic Red Raspberry Seed Oil
Red raspberry seed oil contains essential fatty acids and naturally occurring antioxidants that help condition dry skin and support a healthy moisture barrier. It contributes to the balm’s rich, restorative feel and is especially well suited for skin exposed to the elements.
Organic Beeswax
Organic beeswax creates a light, breathable layer over the skin that helps reduce moisture loss and protect against dryness caused by wind, weather, and frequent handwashing. We use just enough to provide staying power without making the balm feel hard or overly waxy.

Each two-ounce tin is handcrafted in small batches on our East Tennessee farm using tallow from our own cattle and thoughtfully selected organic ingredients.
